Nominate your Facebook heir today: It's easy!

You may think this is a crazy idea, but it is a practical approach to your social media life. Facebook after facing a lawsuit in Europe over a mother claim her deceased daughter's Facebook account has introduced a special featured called 'Legacy Contact' (legal heir who will be authorised person to take care of your account in case of an unfortunate death). Social Media Watchdog highly recommends that you keep a nominee.

Here's how you can add, change or remove your 'legacy contact' (nominee) in your Facebook account's General Settings at any time.

Follow the steps given below to add a legacy contact:

To change or remove a legacy contact, follow steps 1–2 above, then click Remove. From there, you can add a new legacy contact if you'd like.

If your account is memorialized, your legacy contact will be notified.
