There is an interesting story by Daily Mail about a woman whose identity was stolen by a man after she lost her driving license. Ffion Stockden lost her driving license when she was on a night out and the man used the document to frame the Bournemouth University student for a crime she didn't commit. She received a letter from the police saying she was speeding at 56mph in a 30mph zone. In reality, Muhammad Dammir Boyce was really behind the wheel in March 2016.
The man even accessed her Facebook account using the DL and tried to claim that the two were in a relationship.

Moral of the story: Be careful when you lost an official document. It could be misused by others. Report to the police and keep the complaint report for further reference.
